Biography
Matthew McConaughey is an Academy Award–winning American actor, producer, and author known for his charm, versatility, and magnetic screen presence. Rising to fame with his breakout role in Dazed and Confused (1993), he went on to star in a wide range of films including A Time to Kill, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Interstellar.
After redefining his career with dramatic roles in Dallas Buyers Club (for which he won the Oscar for Best Actor), True Detective, and Mud, McConaughey became known for his signature philosophy of “Just keep livin’.” Beyond acting, he is an author of the best-selling memoir Greenlights, a professor at the University of Texas, and an active philanthropist dedicated to education and youth empowerment.
